Capital Penguins Inline Hockey Club is a friendly and family-oriented club that has had success at all levels of the game. We welcome new players of all ages and abilities.
The club is the largest Inline Hockey club in the region and has been involved in the development of the sport at all levels. We also provide opportunities for members' development into coaching, refereeing and managerial roles.
A Proud History
The Capital Penguins have been active since 1994, based at our home rink in Kilbirnie, Wellington.
The Penguins have always catered for players at all levels, with a strong and growing junior club, active and competitive seniors grade teams, and NZ's most successful Prems-level team.
Social And Competitive
Younger grades have a strong focus on participation, however as kids develop their skills, more competitive options become available.
At senior level we have a mix of teams and grades from social (Senior B) through to our competitive Senior A team, and Capital Penguins Prems.
Inline Hockey is a great sport, and our teams have a huge amount of fun both on and off the rink.

Whatever your age or ability, Capital Penguins have a team for you.
For those starting out, we have a great junior development programme, Dev Squad, seniors training and more. And for those more experienced, we have teams at almost every grade.
We strongly believe that Inline Hockey is for everyone.

You can come along to three sessions without cost or commitment to see if it's for you. Then we have lots of options including training sessions, a Development Squad and more.
